Crash at KPOC

"Notice: Perimeter Fence Not Suitable for Use as an Arresting Barrier"

We have someone take out the fence at Fullerton every few years, but that has been from overruns...this fellow appears to have undershot the approach by a good bit...
 
It's nice to know there was a pilot on board when it crashed….

Is it just me or is southern CA having a very bad GA month?

Upside down and on fire,,, and he got out....

He is one lucky SOB........

Weather has been much better recently; not broiling hot like it was all summer. Fuel prices are lower, traffic is up, many with rusty skills.
 
Just got a call from a friend that was checking to see if I was ok. The news he was watching said it was a 47 year old Camarillo man. I can't find that info and don't recognize the plane from Camarillo.
