I have, finally, beat Tony's cookie recipe. I had to slave over the oven for weeks, years in fact. Trying every idea..every trick in the book.

I have the superior cookie now and I will prove it at the next fly-in.

They are the perfect combination of soft and chewy.

They are great, but I have a thing for soft, chewy oatmeal raisin (or, as Leslie made last month, oatmeal dried cherry). Best if you get some of the fruit to caramelize on top!

Tony, I gotta tell ya...I just tried Jesse's cookies and I was very impressed. They were soft. Just a little doughy. You'll have your hands full with these...
