Touchdown! Greaser!
Anyone have insight on running the adds Flight Path Tool?
When I click here
http://weather.aero/jade/
and then on "Installation Instructions..."
I get this: (below)
I use Netscape btw.
So I tried going to preferences and telling the Helper app to use javaws.exe to open the applications but cannot find it. So I did a search for javaws.exe and I have a bunch of 'javaws.exe.82yhn48 which are in a prefetch file and about 35kb, 15kb but no javaws.exe only
Not sure how to get the stupit thing running!
"How to Run the New Flight Path Tool
1. Install Java and Java Web Start
You already have Java installed, but your Netscape or Mozilla browser may not have the proper MIME type registered. To check this,
1. Open your browser's "Edit" menu and select "Preferences...."
2. In the "Navigator" Category, select "Helper Applications."
3. Look for an entry with the following information:
* MIME Type: application/x-java-jnlp-file
* Extension: jnlp
* "Open it with:" set to the Java Web Start located in your java installation.
(On Windows, this will probably be "C:\Program Files\Java\javaws\javaws.exe".
On Linux, Unix, and Mac, this will probably be "$JAVA_HOME/jre/javaws/javaws".
If you did not find such an entry, use the "New Type..." button to add one."
