I was at Brunswick Executive Airport, doing some minor cleaning of the 'Hawk.The telephone call to the FBO came at 5:30 from the pilot in Manassas, VA, indicating that they were "just taking off". The previously-intended arrival at KBXM had been 5:45. That wasn't to happen!
We watched the progress on Flight-Aware. Mission? Dad(pilot) and Mom were coming to pick up the Bowdoin College Senior daughter for vacation break. Shortly before the Citation N50EL touched down the student arrived with two female friends, all carrying the skis and snow boards. It's been a regular occurrence: late April, when college was "out;" Thanksgiving break; December holiday break; well known to the FBO. Wow! Beautiful aircraft.
