COD4/MW1 & PS3 issue

Picked up a copy of Call of Duty Modern Warfare for the PS3, inserted into the console, prompts Yes or No to continue, select Yes and the X key and nothing happens.

Anyone know of a work around for this issue.

PS3 firmware is 4.0
