Better hope the PBOR2 happens.
The DOT is not letting the FAA rulemaking thru.

Yea figured that was a lost cause.. Last I heard was may 5th or so for it to even be announced, but I'm sure it will be pushed again. This whole thing ****es me off to no end. Been desperately working on/dreaming of my license since 2003 and still are no further.

As tragic as it is, this germanwings incident doesn't help either.. Or maybe it does. All it takes is one story to slip from a family member about how that co-pilot had mental issues but was afraid to seek help for fear of loosing his career.

Sickens me to think all those people needlessly died, possibly because of archaic medical policies shared amongst international aviation authorities that effectively kept a mentally I'll person from getting help.
