Anyone planning to go this weekend? We might head in there one day.

More info at their website.

I'm peeved that I can't really put this in "Cool places to fly" because of the antics on a particular politician, and because of that may wind up not going, but would like to see the show.

wow I found a pretty cool multi exposure shot on the website...

did someone forget to tell the red bull guy you can't do that with a chopper?

I'll be watching from the water tomorrow, and my roof on Sunday... I'm really looking forward to the Red Bull chopper act for some reason.

So, what kind of control inputs does it take to make a chopper do that?
Well, we wound up not going. We flew up to Lake Lawn for dinner on Saturday, then Sunday didn't look auspicious weather-wise.

But, I presume you're talking about Chuck Aaron in the Red Bull helicopter. Saw him at the Red Bull races in Detroit/Windsor last year, and again at AirVenture this year. He's freakin' unbelievable! A helicopter can't do what he's making it do!:heli:

Troy,

A normal helicopter *can't* do that. Use the same control inputs in a normal helicopter, and it'll chop its own tail boom off. :hairraise:

That said, I think the control inputs aren't altogether different from an airplane to do what he's doing.
