Everything Offends Me
I have decided that I am getting too limited a view of what there is to do at some of the airports in New Mexico. Sometimes, the city is just too far away and there is no place to rent a car. I need to get a folding bike, but my budget is VERY low for it.

I was wondering if anyone is as cheap as me, and has any experience with either of the following bikes:

They are both cheap enough....ideas?

The only ones I know of are Dahon and Montague. I forget the prices, but they are not too bad IIRC. They're not as cheap as the ones you posted however.

You may want to think of getting a full size mountain bike and popping off the wheels to fit in the plane. With the Tiger, I can fit two full size bikes in the back just by folding down the rear seat and taking the front tires off, but I don't know what plane you fly.

I fly a Cherokee 180. Wonder if I could fit a mountain bike in there....certainly not through the baggage door....

Great site, Nick. I like this stretching one better:

I have a different mission. For one, to get one that won't collapse the first day I ride it.

Bruce carries a moped in his Seneca.

I think if you get the $99 Wal-Mart ones, you have to agree to the Wal-mart buying agreement: It's so cheap you won't mind if you have to buy another one in a short time.

Off topic: When I found that Wal-mart had a battery for the old car at around $35 I figured if even if it only lasted a year or two I was still ahead of the the game. You are supposed to decide you don't want the cheapest one but you'll get the "better" one next to it where the price is no where near as good.
