I see online there are some cool but EXPENSIVE metal overlays that can be put on in 2 hours (as they are in 3 pieces )for 172s, but don't see any for 150/152

has anyone replaced the plastic on these ? Seems like a TON of labor.with all the cables etc....looking for a better solution if anyone has found one. Wondering how much to have something machined at a local shop
Many thanks

Do you have the part number for that item?
As far as being fabricated at your local machine shop is not legal. Parts must be TSO'd or PMA. Your A&P won't install anything illegal in your airplane anyway.

Yes but it's basically just a skeleton piece of abs plastic that your have to fabricate most of anyway....total PITA.. And the Pma thing is not always a cold hard rule for things like this..would love to find somewhere that could CAD this out.
