makes me reminisce that of the 3 carriers I cruised on, Nimitz, Constellation and Ranger, only Nimitz is still active. Then, the retired aircraft - F-4, F-14, S-3, A-3, A-7, RF-8, ... I'm sure I'm forgetting some

Back in Jr High, my school bus route went right past the shipyard where all the Nimitz-class carriers were built. The Nimitz was in drydock being assembled and it was quite a sight to watch it go together over the course of a couple years. That's the closest to one that I ever got.
