Carbon Fiber cloth for a project

Hello,
I am new to aviation and I am planning on building my first aircraft from scratch. I have experience in auto body repair, but building an aircraft is a whole new ball game. Could someone please help me to pick the correct weave cloth? I am going to build a Viper type plane, 2 seater.

This isn't a simple subject. There are many, many variables that help determine the appropriate materials to use in composite construction. There are a dozen books on this link which would help you create a design and ultimately choose the right cloth.

Take one of the EAA Sportair workshops on composite building. The materials are way to expensive to just fool around with except on a very small scale.

You said you are new to aviation, but have your mind made up on a specific plane and materials. Pretty closed minded for a newbie.

Viper, as in viper jet? Sweet looking ride. Have to imagine the care and feeding will be eye watering. Cruises at 100 gph for 391 mph. Wowzers. And people get whiny when a Bo sucks down 15 gph.
