Canadian ultralites

Not sure coming this way but I have to get prior permission to take my Jabiru to Canada or Mexico.

How would you import this to the US?

I'm not the ultra lite guy, but got asked the question.

If it complies with Part 103 requirements for an ultralight (which it should if it hasn't been modified), I doubt the FAA would care one way or the other. Nothing in Part 103 requires U.S. citizenship nor the possession of any class of pilot certificate or medical to fly an ultralight.

As for legally importing it for customs purposes, I have no idea.

Easey-peasey: Very very early in the morning, over eastern Washington. Low and quiet - no witnesses. Don't scare the livestock. Meet your trusted friend who has more gas and keep flying until you get two states further South.
