Celebrating 75 Years of Aviation in Northampton County
"Come Roll on the Grass"
1933-2008
Pack your tents & sleeping bags and come celebrate 75 years of aviation history at Campbell Field Airport on the beautiful Eastern Shore of Virginia. Seventy five years ago Darrell Kellam, pilot of an English made two place bi-plane, the Avro Avian, built this little airport for people in the community to enjoy aviation. It went on to become the first public-use airport on the Eastern Shore of Virginia and has changed very little since 1933. Please join use for a weekend of aviation fun celebrating all old airports and our freedom to fly. This is a fun fly-in all are encouraged to campout and have a relaxing weekend. Re-live the excitement of grassroots aviation at the last public use grass airport in Virginia.

VAHS Article on Campbell Field: Linda Burdette, member & editor for the Virginia Aeronautical Historical Society, penned a wonderful article on Campbell Field entitled "75 Years of Rolling on the Grass" (see pages 22-26). If you are on your way to the anniversary fly-in brush up on your history of Campbell Field with a read of this article.
Courtesy Car: Flying in and want to explore the shore? We are the only airport on the ESVA with a courtesy car. Please print and complete the Courtesy Car Agreement and leave it with us prior to using the car. The keys to the courtesy car are located in the Pilot's Pub. The four digit combination to the Pilot's Pub is the CTAF. The only thing we ask of the driver is that they replace the fuel used.
Precision Windsports Article on Campbell Field: Precision Windsports, the dealer for Airborne Trikes, came to Campbell Field a few weeks ago for a couple of days of great flying. Read this article about their adventure on the Eastern Shore.
