Dunno. They had a C-17 in KPUB with the mini-helicopters tucked inside earlier this year.

The last time I saw the AF's projections, the answer was several decades, particularly for the "B's"...

There is a cockpit modernization program for some (most?) of the fleet. They also have a re-engine program, but I'm not sure if the funding has been approved to move those modifications past a couple of proof of concept aircraft.

Wikipedia says the C-5 airframes still have 80% of their serivice life remaining.
