En-Route
Today I was photographing islands, many of them. When the project is completed there will have been 200 in the project. Maine Island Trail Association is the guiding shepherd of the 200, mostly unsettled, plots which vary from a baby island to large, all along the Maine coast from Southern Maine toward Canada. One of the MITA Board Members was riding right seat, with marine chart in hand, telling us where to go next.
Speaking of "next," tied up next to one island was a very nice little "weekender" sailboat(picture below). It is the property of the Bosarge family of Texas and Maine. The spectacular main building at the 276 acre Maine Coastal Botanical Garden(Boothbay Harbor) is The Bosarge Center. So is a major facility of the YMCA in Boothbay Harbor. Texas Flying Legends Museum(summer home is at Wiscasset Maine Airport) is another of the family's projects.

Anyway, I'm deeply-engrossed in post processing the first round of islands.
2.9 flight hours, 18.6 gal. to top off: not bad, considering all the low-level flying --500-700 msl when over water, 3 SOB, and a lot of repetitious circling of the targets. I'm tired. Oh, and thank you to Family Bosarge. The historic Cuckolds Light Station(off Southport Island - near Boothbay Harbor) needed restoration several years ago. Many people gave freely to fund the project. Family Bosarge anted-up 750k.
