Found this video on YouTube today, interesting wing. Looks like flaperons are setup. In some of the short, High Alpha takeoffs, looks like the both ailerons reflex down along with the flaps, increasing the chord for the whole length of the wing.

Even more significant are the Mackey SQ2 retractable (so they increase lift without decreasing cruise speed) leading edge slats. They are visible towards the end of the film. Checkout the product on their website for close-ups.

Coincidentally, I was just speaking with the manufacturer yesterday about painting micro VGs which they place just aft of their slat's airflow. When we got into their SQ2 product, it was easy to see they'd be a quick and useful bolt-on addition to my high lift, STOL amphib wings. Only about $2000 per wing, 2 sections per wing.

Wayne Mackey is quite a legend in the off airport group. Look to Valdez Fly-in
on You-Tube for those 49 ft takeoffs. Super Cubs are the most fun you can have IMHO.

Andrew,.. Imagine flying down the runway at Wings in High Alpha like those helos,... then comming up the ramp,.. and three pointing it to get fuel :D
