Pre-takeoff checklist
For those of you that haven't been, the airport at Bryce Resort in NW Virginia is a great place to visit. They have loads of activities in the summer when the ski season is over. A zipline adventure runs along the ski trails, they haul mountain bikes up to the top with the chair lift so you can bomb down the ski runs, there is golf and a decent restaurant. To top all of that off, they have 2 big flyin adventures this summer. One is on July 3rd and features a golf tournament and an aviation based movie outside (Memphis Belle). This even is being hosted by the Beech aero Club http://www.beechaeroclub.org/content.php/1562-FLY-IN-MOVIE-!!!!!!!!-VG18-BRYCE-RESORT-July-3-2014-(CADDYSHACK)) and should be fun.
Two days later (7/5/2014) the resort is hosting Brycefest with a flyin that will award the "best" plane that comes in. I'm not sure how they judge best, but it would be fun to play with them. Here is the flyer for that event:
