We went missed out of AUG twice, diverted to RKD,
turns out the weather came down and we couldn't even
start the approach, so we went back to BOS and got
in on a close ILS at min. fuel. Total of 2.4 hrs in
the air with six people stuck in the back of the plane
for the whole ride. At this point we were close to
duty limits, so they had us ferry back up here and canceled
the rest of the night.Yay New England!

Say... were you in the air around 6 tonight? I was watching the BOS approaches and saw a B190 (BSY36 or something, I was only half paying attention) and thought "Is that Matt?"

Cheers,

-Andrew

I think that's right about when we were getting back to AUG. BSY is Big Sky (Pig Sty) Airlines, based out in Montana, but they fly the east coast to a lot of the same places we take our 1900s.

We're coded as CJC in ICAO and 9L in IATA. If you see CJC497X, where X=0,1,2,3, or 5 those are the flight numbers we use for most of the AUG/RKD/ALB flights that I fly a lot. If you see something in the 9400 series, that's a mx or Pt 91 ferry flight, and I could very well be on that, too. If you see a CJC doing a really sloppy hold or an ILS that looks like a sine wave, then that's almost definitely me!

There were some brutally sloppy holds off of Gloucster, about 20 miles off shore. I don't know what fix is out there (I'm also too lazy), but it wasn't very pretty looking...

Cheers,

SCUPP. That's how they bring us in at 16k from the north. It's at 37DME off the BOS 082 radial. If they actually send you there, you know you're screwed, so everyone just gets 10 mile legs and goes to sleep. If they keep us down at 10k we hold at STEVO on the other side of BOS (actually 14 DME off the LWM 277 degree radial, if memory serves. WOONS and BOSOX are the other two holds they use a lot, but those are both from folks coming in from the south. I'm sure you'll been seeing them quite a bit today, looking at the TAF.
