I thought it looked like a Diamond. Sure enough, they built the fuselage.

That's pretty neat. I hope they get it going and make it efficient. If Boeing is successful, there's no reason why it won't work in in cars.
 
Out here in the West we can get some huge temp swings. I'd hate to lose x lbs of fuel (and range) to venting or risk a containment failure when the desert temps swing from 40* nights to 100* days.
 
Pretty cool. Looks an awful lot like a DA-20 except for the spoilers that came up after touchdown. There are a few other minor differences as well.
 
55 foot wingspan,... Hmm,.. twice the width of the runway I'm training on. ;) Might have to land far left of center to clear the return taxiway :)

Pretty cool technology. Did you see the "Phantom Works" on the side,.. neat project design group name.

It looks to me like Diamond's motorglider - HK36 Dimona IIRC.
