My company has developed an add-on for professional flight simulators that uses artificial intelligence, speech recognition, and text-to-speech to create a Simulated Environment for Realistic ATC (SERA). We are testing it on Lockheed-Martin's Prepar3D, but it will be deployed on a variety of Level D full flight simulators in 2016.

In order to perfect our ability to recognize and respond to a wide variety of pilot phraseology, we are soliciting volunteers to "fly" online with one of our in-house subject matter experts (SMEs). Volunteers must have a Windows PC (doesn't need to be very powerful) and a headset with close-talking microphone. You will be given instructions for downloading and installing a small audio client to communicate with SERA, and a URL to a Google Hangout where the cockpit screen will be shared via your browser. At the appointed time, our SME will function as your remote instructor-pilot, flying the airplane and dialing frequencies while you talk to ATC as you normally would when you fly in the system. You should set aside up to an hour for our first flight and maybe a half hour for subsequent ones, where we'll typically fly a short IFR and/or VFR cross-country for each "mission."

If you can't private message your RSVP here, please email your interest and availability to bob.wesson@asti-usa.com. We would love to have your feedback and advice before fielding this system intended to make pilot simulation-based training hugely more realistic! Thanks in advance for your support!
