Just finished up my PPL in April, and I am going to ASU in August. By the end of next summer, I would like to have my IR. Im planning to find a job and save up through the school year, and I would like to be ready to start the training once school is out in May.

What materials should I acquire and study during the school year so that I am prepared when I begin the flying next May?
 
I like the Jeppeson books, although they are expensive. Are you planning to stay current during the school year?
