Below Sea Level Airports

It's not always 40 C at the Dead Sea.

I've been there on a "nice" day. In January. It was closer to 20 C.

And there is occasionally snow in the nearby mountains. Jerusalem is funny when it snows. The locals act like Texans and shut down the country.

The funny thing about Jerusalem is that it is closer to 2500 MSL.

Oh, and when I was at Masada it was early August. It is hot that time of year. :D

If you want to see negative DA, go to someplace like CYEG (Edmonton International) in January.

A nice crisp -40 day gives you a DA of -4,500', even accounting for the fact that it sits almost 2,400' above sea level.
