Saw one for sale and know nothing about them. Any thoughts on them? How about vs. piper 160?

All around a better plane if a couple of knots slower. Later model ones have 2 doors. Flies like a Beech instead of a Piper.

Be careful of the 1965-67 "A23" or "A23A" version. Its engine, the four-cylinder, fuel-injected, 165-hp Continental IO-346-A, was fine when it was new, but was never used in any other production airplane before or since, and now is an orphan. Some parts are very hard to come by.

Earlier Musketeers ("Model 23") used the ubiquitous 160 hp Lycoming O-320, and the later B23 and C23 had the excellent 180 hp Lycoming O-360, all carbureted. The 150 hp "Sport" and 200 hp "Super" models, introduced in 1966, had good engines as well.

So if the ad says "165 hp", tread very carefully.
