G-V's are apparently not quite enough for those with
excess disposable income ...

Aviation Leak had a small mention re: BBJ's in 2012 ...

Boeing BBJ deliveries this year

- Eight 747-8's
- Four 737's

Their backlog for future deliveries is 32, and includes twelve Dreamliners.

I would love to know who/what entity would actually need a 748 BBJ.

Must be from KSA.

I bought one to build some multi time... I think i might rent it out too... Lemme know if youre interested

When I google that, I get something that ain't no airplane....

Quite a few such planes in middle east.

They've had them for a long time. In 2002 I flew a G-V to Zurich so the owner could meet with a guy from Saudi who was flying the biggest airbus that was built at the time. We looked like a pygmy parked next to him on the ramp.

Yep, $4.00 a gallon gas just bought a prince a private A-380.

Yeah for the rest, although I think this was the first private owned A-380 they delivered, at least that's what I gathered from the story. Gas went up another nickle here yesterday so I suspect more will be delivered. It's neat seeing all the toys we buy Arabs.

The Canadians should start buying these planes soon as we get pretty close to twice the petroleum from the Canada than the Saudis.

Not likely as Canada disburses their oil money across a hell of a lot more people than KSA. There are also 20 some oil companies in Canada, in KSA, it's one person. The Saudis just got 14 new tankers to feed crude stock to its burgeoning refining business in the GOM states. Interesting as US refining companies are going out of business.

Need's got nothing to do with it. They want it, they can afford it, so they get it.... :D

You guys ever hear about that A380 corporate jet? Some highlights I recall:

- Ramp drops down from the rear so you can drive your car right onboard the planes garage.

- Elevator extends down to the ramp so you can drive right up and not have to worry about climbing stairs.

- Lower level has a large room with a floor made out of an iPad type screen. Cameras on the plane can project the actual image of what's below onto the floor screen so the effect is your walking on air at FL380.

- suites all have King size beds.

- Prayer room with mats that automatically align themselves to always face East towards Mecca.

- Bath tub made of Turkish marble.

How many airports can even land an A380 world wide (excluding military)?

Not really. 75% of the money going to Saudi Arabia is for running their country. There's a rather large extended family to support too -it's not going to a single person in that family.

There is certainly enough money left over to buy pretty much anything for the Saud royal family that they want.

As for the refineries, I pointed that out to you IIRC. All the Saudis are doing are removing at least one level of distribution and that gives them enough margin to make it work for them.

Probably a whole bunch, since it probably rarely flies nowhere near MGTW and he isn't looking for an airline terminal gate to park it.

That's a good point. Wonder what the BOW is compared to MGTOW...
