Hi Ron,
Thank you for your interest. The idea was brought to us by a small group of general aviation pilots, who wanted a social cruise for aviators, where they could exchange stories and ideas. This is the first year they are attempting to bring a group together. Their hope is that we'll attract a diverse group, and be able to put some onboard programming together from attendees, hence no upcharge for programming. We have a airline captain and RV-8 builder, who'd be happy to lead a group, if there's interest. We also have a pilot who has a banner towing business, and general aviation pilots who just love hangar flying. We have a welcome party planned to get to know each other, and we have space reserved for a couple of get-togethers while at sea for the group. We're open to ideas, but we're not yet firm on how it'll look, since it was conceived as an opportunity for aviation enthusiasts to come together socially. We have leisure excursions once we're on the islands. Our destinations don't seem to have aviation focused activities readily available, but if you have ideas for either on or off the ship, we're happy to work to put together whatever will interest the group. For those who want a pre-cruise aviation related activity, we will be putting together a visit to the NAS Ft. Lauderdale Museum, right at FLL if we have the interest. I hope you'll consider joining the group. Please feel free to contact me with any other questions.
