Hmmm. If I'm in the Citabria it'll be RYV, if I'm in the 182 it'll be MSN. If anyone needs a ride, let me know.
 
Im full from eastern iowa. I plan to pick up Kaye at an outlying airport since she cant do grass. Speaking of that I suppose I should figure out where the heck 6Y9 actually is...

On the way to 6Y9 from Minnieapolis we passed quite a few light green spots. Closer inspection revealed them to be algae covered swamps.
 
Well, Leslie's thinking that camping might be kind of neat, as long as we have indoor plumbing available. Ed, didn't you say that you'd have it at the school?

And I was just talking to our neighbor who just bought a new 8-person Coleman tent. So his old 4-person tent is available. I'm going to have a look at it next weekend.
 
I have spousal approval for this to be my 1 big XC for this year, so I've booked our 182. She may come along, not sure yet.

Well, we just picked up the start of our camping gear today, so we'll actually be doing the camping thing. Given that, we can probably extend ou stay a little. I just need to remember to change the plane reservation. Friday is goint to depend on how early we can take off. We don't want to do the NoSeeUm approach after dark like EdFred!

Leslie might bring up her telescope if the weather looks clear for viewing and the W&B works out!

We've solidified a Friday departure.
 
Well, I'm really ****ed. :mad: :mad: I should've taken the week off from work (tho that would never have been allowed). But my Friday off has been cancelled with long hours for the rest of this week and not sure if I'm off the weekend.

So I've cancelled the plane (after a couple of grand spent getting checked out), hotel, car, kennel (lost my holiday weekend deposit), etc.

I am not a happy camper, and I've got one helluva headache right not. :mad:

I'm going to try real hard to drop in on Monday in the morning. I'm planning to go to a tournament near Flint on Sunday. Saturday afternoon would be the other option but I suspect I'll be busy settling the family in at the house in Bellaire.

Well Kaye............... You're not the only one................. not for the same reasons, but I've had one unexpected expense after another in the last couple of months. I honestly just can't afford the fuel. 10 hours each way................. ya......... that's a $1200.00 weekend before the beer. Sorry guys. :( :( :( I was really planning on it and needed to drop a dog off in Chicago on the way too. Now I have to ship her.
