what is the wait period for renewing medical with new occurance of atrial Fib?
I ave a normal echo cardiogram and myocardial perfusion study but irregular rythm with afib and elevated pulse rate

There isn't one. However, you need to have a regulated pulse rate, rates of 60-->100 on the 24 hour holter monitor. You are probably on Coumadin, and I have never seen anyone satisfy that one in less than 60 days.... and this guy was a physician, and went after it with total dietary and medicinal control. IOW, he at the SAME amount of greens/day, same amount of each medication per day, etc. and I mean in grams. If you have new Afib that isn't going to stay in sinus rhythm, you need to be on coumadin to prevent stroke.

If your atrium is small (as your post implies) they will want to anticoagulate you before cardioverting you back to normal rhythm.....or risk the big clot heading to your cabesa.

I am assuming the myoc. perfusion study was done after a treadmill run. They HATE the dipyridamole thallium scan as it has many false negatives.
