Okay this is a bizarre one and I can't even find an answer by Googling other than it's a known problem.

On certain ASUS laptops the insert and delete button are the same. The insert is activated by the function key I think. But I cannot do a shift-insert no matter how hard I try, I have to use the paste function in a mouse click.

Anybody know the trick?

Yes. Come to the 21st century and use CTRL-V. Shift-Insert is an old school leftover from the WordPerfect 5.0 days.

Wow I thought I held onto the shift-insert shift-delete for a long time.
I figured Microsoft would stop having them work so I gave it up a few version of Windows ago. Plus I was getting sick of people commenting on it.
