Arrow and Archer for sale in IL

Flight school in Southern IL is going out of business and selling the following aircraft. They have been owner maintained and operated, and he was very selective who flew his planes. They are maintained regularly with 100 hr inspection, and neither have damage history. They are always kept in a heated hangar, so no cold starts! The Arrow was used for commercial and CFI, and the Archer mostly for instrument training.

2002 Piper Arrow, 1620 TT, (compressions are all in mid 70's) single Garmin 430, no auto pilot and manual trim. $169K

Both are very nice planes, but holy cow, that's expensive. I know they're late model, but wow, that's an unfortunate place to be to try to sell them.

Would be nice if they had auto pilots, and perhaps an HSI.

Nice airplanes..but a tough sell..considering that a guy could get into a very nicely equipped Bonanza for less.
