Apparently something has gone wrong in our automatic backup routine that caused the forums to stay offline for a few hours rather than a few minutes.

We are investigating.

In an attempt to make the backup MUCH smaller and speed overall performance, I'm about to move the attachments out of the database into their own folder. (Techies, do not yell at me for the fact they were in the db at all - thats VBs doing by default...grr)

This will either speed things up some and make our nightly backups much faster - or we'll lose all the attachments posted to date...which will speed things up some and make our nightly backups much faster...
