As a thank you to our 415,000+ members, AOPA will host its 18th Annual Fly-In and Open House on Saturday, June 7, 2008. Pilots are cautioned that the temporary flight restriction over the presidential retreat at Camp David, Md. (Prohibited Area P-40), will expand from June 6 through 8. It will be in effect during the AOPA Fly-In on June 7. In addition to P-40, whose expanded perimeter lies 4 nautical miles to the north of Frederick Municipal Airport (FDK), pilots should also fly cautiously near Washington, D.C., airspace. The Air Defense Identification Zone (ADIZ) begins 7 nautical miles south of FDK and encompasses the Baltimore-Washington area to the southeast and south of Frederick. See our ADIZ resources.
