The wife is considering a career change and has a few questions. I figured with this august group and our many varied experiences, someone might either be an appraiser or know one who wouldn't mind answering a few questions from a (potential) newbie. Thanks, all!

What kind of questions? I use appraisers like golf clubs. You can't drive with a putter, and you can't put with a driver.

General information, I guess. She's mostly curious about job satisfaction, quality of life, how'd they get into it, etc. She's only started researching this in the last couple days, so it's still mostly broad curiosity.
