ANOTHER..... "Want to buy a plane thread"

Clearly, the 182 doesn't seem to be the favorite. Since I'm getting ready to start PP lessons, I thought I would run the OP's W&B for our 182P model. It seems the OP could do the following:

1.) 75 gallons (almost full, not dripping gas on the ramp from the vent)
2.) 500lbs in the front seats
3.) 125lbs in the rear seat
4.) 75lbs in the baggage area (the more forward area)
5.) This shows 40lbs to go before MTOW. And it is still nicely in the CG envelope.

I am sure you could remove the rear seat to cut 'XX' pounds.

Also, for the OP's budget could he find a Texas Skyways 300hp C182 conversion to get the speed?

We really like the highwing for everything...except fueling and messing with ladders.

On our first cross country after the purchase, flew thru some light rain and landed at a fly-in. As soon as the engine was shutdown about 15 people ran under the wing as it started to pour :) That shade is nice. However, if you are 6' or taller you will eventually slice your head (the edge of that flap is not forgiving).
