Dear POAers
I am a co-pilot for Angel Flight East ( Still need 120 hrs for pilot rank) anyway they just posted the following request for a patient transport from Miami to Lexington KY. The mission coordinator for AFE asked if I would post it on POA.
I suppose most are not members of AFE so if you can do this mission you will need to fill out a quick applicaiton online and send it in with your insurance dec sheet. (These can be faxed) and they will expidite your application. AFEs pilot requirements are 300 hrs and an IR. Thanks for considering this. If you can help contact Marisa directly Following is the information:
*I would like to bring your attention to one mission in particular that as listed as an ASAP mission from Miami, FL. To Lexington, KY. This is a female, lung cancer patient, who has lost one lung, and is finally about to be released from Mercy Hospital in Miami. She desperately wants to get home to Lexington, KY. The doctors are requesting that she has an escort to bring her home, which is why her husband would like to fly down to Miami to pick her up, and then fly back with her. I realize they are asking a lot of our organization, but they feel we are their only hope. The most important part of the mission is getting the patient home, so if someone is going to be in Miami, FL, the hospital can most likely provide a nurse escort, and we can disregard the first mission from Lexington, KY to Miami, FL. The nurse could most likely fly back to Miami commercially.
If you can help this family in any way, the family would truly appreciate your efforts!
Please take a look at the list, and email or call if you can help with any of the missions!!
Thanks a million!!
