And now 3 elderly people have said the TSA strip searched them...

It will require extraordinarily good luck, this crap has been going on since inception. Circa 2003 I watched the TSO goons strip an elderly woman (I would guess about 80 yrs of age) behind a clear plastic panel. The panel was to shield the perp, er, I mean the traveler from the flying public but we all could see quite clearly. Stipped her to bra and underwear.

For my discrete protest to TSA I became subject to a strip search. This was at KSBA flying to PHX.

The TSA will continue to investigate until the story dies of its own accord.

The TSA declined to say whether there are instances where it requires passengers to remove clothing items.

Interesting. The legal justification for the search is supposed to be that we consented when we entered the secure area, yet they refuse to tell us ahead of time what we are consenting to.
