The Iowa City airport is cut off from the North (there's water on the road between our hotel and the airport). Much of the city is under water, and the crest is yet to come.
Many have flown their planes to higher ground. We flew our Pathfinder to nearby Washington, IA (AWG), and we've hung our Ercoupe from an engine hoist like a big Xmas ornament. We spent all day yesterday sand-bagging...
This is the worst natural disaster in Iowa history. We'll get through it, but I sure regret losing the Barnstormers. I fear this may be their last hurrah.
