I met with former F4 Phantom pilot, Greg Hughes this morning in San Marcos, Texas, to get photos of his newly restored and beautiful Cessna 150. Greg can sure fly! We had a great time and I think he meets and probably exceeds POA standards for a clean belly.
Out of curiosity, how many images are you taking during a session to get the few that meet your impeccable standards?
Good question. Used to be about 1500! Now I end up with 300 or so and out of those I keep about 30-40
A lot of them are good, but look exactly the same as the previous one. I spend a lot of time looking at faces people are making, looking to see if eyes are open, etc. I’m usually sick of looking at their faces before I’m done.
LOL, I didn't even get my copies yet. You're connected! As always, thanks for the kind words. I never get tired of getting a magazine in the mail with one of my photos on the cover.
1. Excellent photos as always. 2. Clean belly of the year award earned here Jack, is the prop on that plane original? Flew lots of 152's and for some reason that thing looks HUGE compared to what I remember, and the ones I flew were Sparrowhawk conversions with extra HP ...
1. Thank you. 2. Newly painted belly. We'll check back with him in a year. However, I expect some kids will be washing the plane to earn rides! I don't know about the prop. I'm not that familiar with 152s. I'm supposed to go have a beer with Greg soon. I'll ask him. I like the beer at his son's bar and the stories he tells about flying the F4!
I’m not very experienced at the tricycle thing! I need a plane that most pilots can fly in case I need a photo plane pilot.
