I was just thinking how I must have gotten used to the noise.

That house I looked at that is one lot from the train tracks and RxR crossing just went up in value.

The bad news: now they'll come after the airplane noise, although the traffic and trucks is next on the list for me, followed by the gunfire from the shotguns at the gun club.

Of course the first person (or family of) to get sideswiped by a train at one of these crossings is going to go sue happy.

I don't know what it takes to get the "area" but all of the crossings have mechanical gates. The family will have had to be driving around the lowered gates, which we all know is no problem these days.

I remember when the Railroad board or whichever first made the horn blowing mandatory, there were a lot of complaints. I wonder how it turned out that could be fixed.

There is a "No horn" warning on the signs at the crossings.
