Passed away. Say what you want about his vice presidential candidacy, but when his country called, he was the first one in and the last one out.

Here's to you Admiral.

That's terrible! He lead the POW's at the Hanoi Hilton and kept those guys alive with hope and resistance to the their captors. A true hero. Sad.

It was my honor to meet him several years ago and talk about his experiances as a POW and SRO. He was a great American and an outstanding leader. America has lost another great person. :-(

A sad, sad day with the passing of a great man. He addressed my class after Navy SERE (Survival, Evasion, Resistance and Escape) school and had a very open question and answer session afterwards.
