Adding to my intercom

Am I required to have a repair facility hook up the remaining two intercom jacks in my plane?

I currently have a sigtronics spa-400 that I read was a 4 place intercom. Currently I only have a pilot and co-pilot jacks to hook headsets too. I want to get the other two hooked up but I want to do it myself if possible.

I believe you will have t have the worked supervised by and signed off by an A&P. That said, if you're a sparky (like me), odds are you know more about electronics and such work than most generalist A&Ps. Find a local one, describe what you want to do, and see if he/she isn't willing to supervise and approve your work fir a modest fee. Hint: be ready to show them that you REALLY know your stuff.
