I talked with the FBO this morning regarding the flat tire I had on Sunday, and my name is not "mud" out there :)

The mech checked it out and discovered that they had pinched the tube while installing the new tubes and tires, so no "pilot error" to be found. In spite of my feeling quite confident that I didn't contribute to the problem, it feels good to have that confirmed!

Whew! Good show! No bet that's a load off-it has to be!

Now...relax!

You are renting from quality folks there, if they admit to that.

Yep - good folks out there at Specialty Flight (shameless plug here) http:\\www.specialtyflight.com

The mechanics discovered the pinched tube and said "since it was our fault, we'll take care of it" is what I was told.

A while ago I considering buying in on a 50% share of this plane, a '79 C-172 RG. Guess I think like an owner, because the second thing that went thru my mind when the brand new, 2 landings on it, tire went "thump thump thump" was "Crap! How much does that cost?"

(You guess the first thing!) :)
