A380 at BDL, CVG, and SFO this week

I still don't think it will fly... as a successful passenger-only jet. I don't see 800+ people wanting to travel to one single point, anywhere.

Are they afraid to bring an English-made engine to the states?

The Trent 900-powered aircraft will conduct the Asia tour and the GP7200-powered A380 will tour the United States.

The picture accompanying that article really makes me mad! An airliner flying over the Leaning Tower of DC yet the mighty 150 is threatened with a shoot down.

What planet is this?

Curious choices of airports. Hard for me to see a 380 ever serving the Hartford market!

Then you don't know KBDL. For a secondary airport, it has a fairly long runway. (It has long been an alternate for international flights coming in during bad weather.) So long runways - little traffic - voila! A-380.
