I didn't know Ralph but I took my initial lessons in N4065V which had been one of his planes. Many Maine pilots learned in 65Victor(C-150) or 49Uniform(C-172) while he owned Merrymeeting Aviation K08B and after he sold Merrymeeting and the planes in about 1980. 65Victor is still in the area(KIWI); 49Uniform, when last I knew, was in New Hampshire.

One of my pilot friends from both Bowdoinham and Wiscasset extracted a photo from a 1941 Brunswick Record(now The Times Record). The reference to Brunswick Airport is what became Naval Air Station Brunswick.
