Extra padding, couple air-holes what's the big deal? Include a little extra food if shipping on national holidays.

The mailman honks his horn at the end of the driveway if the article is too big for the mailbox.
 
I'd like to put some postage on my home-for-the-summer college kids and ship them out. It's so much fun to kick over half-full glasses of Coke that are sitting on the living room floor.
