Final Approach
I've had this photograph for several years. I've always been a little unsure if they were scale models or the real thing (considering they look small compared to the people.
Seeing the registry numbers for the blue plane in the background, its registered to a real Pitts. The red one is listed as destroyed. I cannot make out the registry for the one in the foreground.
Does anyone know the history behind the photo, particularly the people posing in it? What's the relationship to the aircraft and the model manufacturer "Sig" (badged on the foreground plane)?
