Best entertainment/information value in aviation, and a pretty good one for all of life. Thank you all.
Done. Keep up the good work! BTW, you might want to consider moving to Microsoft Azure. It's cheaper but I know, it's a lot of work and possible downtime for data migration.
Added: You might want to contact AWS representative and ask for a discount and bargain. If they know you have studied and compared the price and consider moving, they usually grant a discount to you. The discount will be a match up to Microsoft Azure.
I'm on the fence here. Enjoy the forum but never got a response to the only message I ever sent Support last week...
What does an Azure Forum look like. Example???
Where did you send it to? We try our best to reply to each message, but it’s possible that your it may have unfortunately gotten lost in the shuffle. Feel free to re-send it or reach out to me with your question privately.
Edit - just checked the support account and I don’t see a message from you there. Might try again?
Thanks for the quick reply and quickly resolving my support request! Donation made!
Azure/AWS/GCP (and about a thousand minor players) are just tupperware. The forum would look the same, it would just be hosted at the Microsoft cloud instead of the Amazon cloud in this scenario.
Registering as a 501c3 isn’t that hard or costly, and once you do you can get discounted or even free cloud services and employer matches to member donations. We did this for my EAA chapter and now get free Google Workspace, plus my employer matches anything I donate to the chapter.
Thanks for the suggestion, will have to check into it!
Happy to answer any questions and share our experiences. If you're an EAA member there's a Webinar recording available in the Chapters section.
As an update, we have received a very generous amount of donations since the fundraiser began and we can’t thank each of you enough for the support!
I’m planning to end the fundraiser this Friday, October 15 at 5pm Eastern Time.
The collection window has now been closed. If you were unable to donate during the fundraiser but would still like to, feel free to reach out to me in a PM and I’ll be happy to work with you!
We want to say a big THANK YOU to everyone who made a donation, so that the board is able to keep moving forward. Your generosity does not go unnoticed!
