If you lined up the 10,000 airplanes that attended OSH his year, wing tip to wing tip ( quite a feat in and of itself) you would have a line of airplanes that exceeds 50 miles. Statute miles of course. ;)

Any other factoids about EAA Airventure?

That's pretty cool, but I don't have another except that if I had the money from the sale of all those airplanes, I would be rich!
 
If you added up the ages of all 10,000 aircraft at OSH and extended the sum into the past, it would span a period so long that its beginning would predate the rise of Homo sapiens.
 
If you took all the airplanes and offered to sell them for $1 each, a pilot would still complain about the price.
