The 2012 Ashe County Wheels and Wings Open House will be held on Saturday June 9th at the Ashe County Airport (GEV) in Jefferson, NC. The Open House will open the gates to the general public at 9:00 AM and the show will start at 10:00 with a parachute jump. There will be aerobatic flight demonstrations, a comedy routine, more parachute jumps, flights by Radio Controlled aircraft and aircraft rides. In addition there will be hot rods, classic cars and motorcycles on display.
There will be a fly-in for pilots starting at 7:30 AM with coffee provided. This event promises to be bigger and better than our inaugural event last year which was great!
Net proceeds benefit the Ashe County Habitat for Humanity.

One week to go and everything is set to go. Three aerobatic acts, parachute jumps, RC planes, classic cars and hot rods, food.

This year has been particularly challenging and we may be taking a break for a year.
 
Weather looks to be GREAT for the show. Lows in the 50's and highs in the mid 70's. We've had good response from several who will be flying in.
