More than 800 aviation enthusiasts are expected to gather in Boise March 10-11 for the 14th annual Idaho Aviation Festival, sponsored by the Idaho Transportation Department Division of Aeronautics. The Idaho Aviation Festival attracts aircraft owners, pilots, mechanics, aviation business leaders, aviation enthusiasts and the general public. The two-day event includes a family and children's hands-on workshop organized in partnership with the Discovery Center of Idaho, a variety of seminars, IA renewal and 135 training, AvSwap (an aviation swap meet), a trade show including aircraft displays, Flying 'Flicks (schedule of aviation related movies), keynote speakers, and an aviation career forum.

Keynote speakers include John Kounis (editor of Pilot Getaways magazine and recognized as an expert in recreational destinations for private pilots) and "Father Goose" Bill Lishman (the inspiration behind the film "Fly Away Home" and is a pilot, artist, sculptor, filmmaker, author, inventor, naturalist, and entrepreneur).

Most activities are free, but a non-perishable food donation to the Boise Rescue Mission is requested. Please visit the website for more information.
