I have an ASUS G72GX and I was wondering if there would be any problem with putting a 1tb 2.5" hard drive in it. It came with 500GB and a second bay to put another 500GB drive, and the specs say upgradeable to 1Tb. So is there any reason I couldn't put 1 1TB drive in one of the bays and the 500GB in the other? Is there an OS limitation? It has Win 7.

Thanks

Nope, Win7 would be fine... just check the dimensions and make sure the drive isn't too thick.
Bingo.

I'm pretty sure the 9.5 mm 2.5" drives currently top out at 750 MB, and all of the 1TB 2.5" drives are 12.5 mm.

Check your notebook specs thoroughly (or look at the newegg reviews and see how many people b!tched about the drive not fitting in their laptop!)
